July 25, 2024 We had loved this spot for a long time. Then after many long drives to visit our favorite spot, Spoon started serving their pork belly with lettuce rather than cabbage. After the change we kept going, but on the last two visits we were told that they only offered lettuce now. No explanation. We didn't go back for many months. We have now moved on past our petty grudge. Stopped by for lunch today only because we were in the area and I refused to stand in line at the other spot we went to eat at. I have spent enough time in military lines waiting for grub. My wife asked yet another server about our beloved missing cabbage. Today the server told us that too many customers had complained about the cabbage and it was ending up in the compost. Ah.. That explains it. Cabbage patch kid Americans. smh. I'll leave you to the photos now of the delicious steaming food. By the way, the servers were very attentive, bringing us extra this and that when needed.

Came here on a Friday night, they have plenty of seats, they have outdoor seating and indoors, seems like a Korean restaurant combined with a sushi restaurant. Great for casually hanging into out with friends and family. We had mostly Korean food, it's decent but a bit westernized, I had kale in my bibimbap which I find a bit odd. They do have a lot of starter side dishes with free refill which I'm always excited about! The service is decent, staff are friendly.

My favorite Korean restaurant in the East Bay - maybe the entire Bay Area. This is one of those places that you hope remains busy so you know there's less chance of them closing. The best vegetable pancake! BB

We came here for a Mother's Day dinner. I love Korean food and sushi so this place fit the bill. There were a lot of tables available and it was a more or less a casual place to dine. There were also about 3 dining areas you can sit at. Because we had a party of 6 we ended up in the room with the sushi bar. We ordered 3 sushi rolls and assorted foods such as Korean chicken wings, japjae, bibingbop, seafood pancake, cheese corn and a lot of complimentary bon chon. Korean chicken wings was really crispy and saucy. The japchae was served hot and it was really tasty. The bibinbop was in a stoneware and had some crust in the rice. It was actually very comforting to eat. The cheese corn was small but had a nice cheese pull. I liked all the rolls we ordered. I'm a sucker for salmon and mango. I also enjoyed the unagi and avocado roll. The bon chon was nice. There was broccoli, seaweed, kimchee and cucumbers. I'd like some seasoned daikon and potato salad if they had it. We requested the seafood pancake to be crispy. Unfortunately, it was pretty thick and doughy. We got leftovers so I'm hoping it will be really crispy after I Airfry it.
